FAQ

What can I expect?

SHOOTING STYLE
My style is a bit eclectic. While I LOVE a jaw-dropping editorial image (because yes, you absolutely deserve to feel like a supermodel), I live for the real stuff — the raw, unscripted, in-between moments. I want the laughter, the connection, the quiet emotion. I’m inspired by your story, and capturing the essence of who you are is what fuels everything I do.

LET'S CHAT
If there’s a way to make your session smooth and stress-free, I’m in. From choosing the perfect location to fine-tuning outfits and props, I’ve got you. I highly recommend a consultation so we can plan every detail — what colors flatter you most, how to prep, and all the little do’s and don’ts that make a big difference.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL THERE BE
During your session, I shoot a lot. I overshoot intentionally so nothing beautiful gets missed. Then I carefully curate the very best images — the ones that will become favorites on your walls for years to come. Depending on your session, you can expect about 25–50 images per hour. Turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks but I'll work hard to get them to you as soon as I possibly can because I know waiting can be super challenging.

I truly adore meeting new clients and helping them see themselves the way others already do — amazing. When you hire me, you’re not just getting a photographer. You’re getting a guide, a cheerleader, and a friend. Your session matters deeply to me, and you deserve an experience — and images — that feel extraordinary.

Where should we shoot?

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Lighting is everything in photography, so picking the right spot is key. I love shooting during golden hour — right after sunrise or just before sunset. Check out your dream location at that time and see how it feels. Have a favorite spot in mind? I’d love to hear about it!

Feeling unsure? No worries — tell me the vibe you’re going for, and I can help find the perfect place. I’ve photographed just about everywhere and have plenty of recommendations.

Some ideas: a local playground, downtown Austin, grandma’s house, a cozy coffee shop, a state park, your living room, or even your backyard. If you love it, it’ll probably work beautifully!

(Quick Note: Locations within a 30-minute radius of Marble Falls are included in your session fee. For spots farther out, a small travel fee may apply)

What Do I Wear?

YOUR STYLE FIRST. ALWAYS.
These photos are about you. They should reflect your personality and style. If you're earthy and casual, lean into it. If you're glitz and glam, go for it. The goal is authenticity. If you wear something you’d never normally put on, chances are you’ll feel uncomfortable — and it will show.

MAKE IT POP.
Elevate your look with color and texture. Start with neutrals, then add a pop — like a bold red shirt under a gray cardigan with well-fitted jeans, or khaki with splashy blue or green accents. Texture photographs beautifully: think flowing fabrics, textured denim, soft knits, even a little faux fur. And please — no super bright/neon colors. Trust me on this one!

NO MORE “BLAH.”
Solid colors can fall flat on camera. If you love solids, add texture (lace, ribbed fabric, layers) or accessories to give it dimension. Break up the blah and make it fun.

DETAILS MATTER.
Bring options! Hats, jewelry, fun shoes, hair accessories, ties, watches — I love it all (except hair ties on wrists, lol)! It's the little things can take your session to the next level.

LADIES — A QUICK NOTE.
I love shooting movement, so super low-cut tops, short skirts, gapping tops or tricky straps can be challenging. If something requires extra retouching (like visible bras or cleavage, heavily wrinkled outfits, etc), there will be an additional editing fee. It’s always best to have everything camera-ready before we start.

HELP ME HELP YOU.
Text me photos of your outfit ideas! I’m happy to fine-tune, suggest accessories, and flag anything that might cause issues before session day.

How should I prep?

PROPER PREP IS EVERYTHING!
Don’t wait until the last minute — planning ahead will make your session smooth and stress-free.

PRESSED AND POLISHED: A few nights before, lay out all your outfits. Make sure everything is clean, pressed, and ready to go.

NAILS, HAIR & MORE: Treat yourself to a manicure, trim, wax — whatever makes you feel polished. Guys, too! Do this several days ahead to avoid potential chemical reactions. Oh and no new haircuts the week of your session — trust me, it’s worth it.

DETAILS MATTER: Hair color should be exactly how you want it photographed. Basic edits (like blemish removal) are included, but things like root touch-ups or bra adjustments will be charged ($25/hr). Plan ahead so you look flawless straight out of the gate.

TEMPTED TO TAN? Go for a glow, not an orange. Heavy tanning makes editing tricky, and let’s be real — in ten years you don’t want to see an “oompa loompa” in your photos.

FOOD & DRINK: Have a good snack before your session — hangry is no fun. Don’t bring candy to bribe kids; mess = nightmare. Bring water to stay hydrated, but skip alcohol and colored drinks. I promise smiles will come naturally.

HAVE FUN! This session is going to be a blast. Relax, enjoy it, and let’s make some magic!

What should I bring?

PERFECTLY PICKED PROPS
The right props can really make a session pop and make it feel so you. Think about the theme you want and what you already have that fits.

Bring something meaningful to you or your family like heirlooms, antique chairs, wagons, books, toys. What do you love doing — painting, games, books, music? Are you celebrating something special — a first birthday, graduation, anniversary, milestone? Bring items that tell that story.

Want some fun extras? Balloons, smoke bombs, vintage suitcases, antique cars, even waterskiing…
You name it, we can make it happen.
